If you want lip syncs and death-drops, Irma Girdle is NOT your girl!
Irma, you see, is unlike any drag queen you’ve ever met! Part architectural historian, part science-fiction author, part 1960s girl-next-door, and ALL SASS, Irma is the perfect queen to MC your corporate event, add spice to a cocktail party (she mixes a mean martini), move things along at an awards gala, or even work as your erudite hat-check girl! She co-owns a vintage 1960s bingo machine with her pal Ethel St. George, so she’s ready to host a charity bingo night, too!
Irma hosts architectural walking tours in Toronto, and she’d be tickled pink to create a custom tour for your company’s team-building weekend or for a special anniversary or event.
Speaking of which, Irma’s raison d’être is to use the power of drag to get the distracted youth of today off their cellphones, into a pair of walking shoes (Irma will be in heels) and to really look at the world—and the architecture—around them. Ermagerd!!!
And just so you know Irma is legit, she shares a brain with award-winning Globe & Mail architecture columnist, author (Falconi’s Tractor, Hidden Toronto), TV host (Where Cool Came From), and all-around bon vivant/wordsmith Dave LeBlanc.
